About the Author
Anthony Fox studied modern languages and phonetics at the University of Edinburgh, where he obtained his doctorate with a thesis on the intonation of German and English. He taught linguistics at the University of Leeds for over thirty years and was Head of the Department of Linguistics and Phonetics for fourteen years until his semi-retirement in 2003. He is the author of German Intonation.
